Pamper day in aid of Kidney Research - May 10th
On Sunday 10th May a pamper day was held in aid of Kidney Research UK and raised £2,400 for the charity.
The event was organised by local Beauty Therapist Fay Venner. The afternoon offered ladies the opportunity to receive sumptuous treatments and pampering by local Beauty & Holistic therapists. Treatments included Back Massage, reiki, indian head massage, nail treatments, reflexology & mini-facials. Each client also received a free beauty goody bag. Teas,coffees & Cakes were kindly donated by Sticky Date Catering company & a raffle with quality beauty oriented prizes along with other quality prizes donated by local companies was also held. Virgin Vie Cosmetics were on hand to offer mini-makeovers & hand treatments as well as offering the opportunity to purchase items. Local company Boo! Designs stained glass products were also available.
Fay said "I was overwhelmed with both the success of the day and also the support shown by those involved. I am truly grateful to the therapists, stall holders, Sticky Date and of course Halswell House for their amazing support and stunning venue. Without all their endeavours, skills and talent we would not of been able to make this event such a roaring success. To make £2,400 exceeded my wildest expectations and I am delighted to be able to make such a sizable donation to a charity that is very close to my heart"
